Levitate’s Free Standing Under Braced Jib Crane is a practical and versatile solution for workplaces that require reliable lifting over a dedicated work area. Designed for capacities up to 4000kg and swing radii up to 7.5m, this crane is well suited to general material handling, maintenance tasks, loading operations, and workstation lifting applications. The under braced configuration keeps the area above the jib arm clear, making it a suitable option where overhead space needs to remain unobstructed. This style of jib crane can be configured to suit a wide range of site conditions, with customisable column heights and outreach to match the available space and lifting requirements. It can also be supplied for indoor or outdoor service, depending on the application. To suit different installation environments, the crane can be mounted using a range of fixing arrangements including base plate mounting to concrete foundations or connection to an engineered steel support structure, subject to site suitability. Levitate can also supply the crane complete with a manual or electric chain hoist, along with manual or powered trolley travel, depending on the duty and operational preference. A wall-mounted version is also available where floor space is limited or where an existing supporting structure can be utilised.

Existing Slab

In many applications, a jib crane can be mounted directly onto an existing factory slab, making installation simpler and more cost-effective. For standard industrial sites, this is often a practical option for smaller to medium-capacity cranes.

Our team can guide you on the typical slab and anchoring requirements for the jib crane selected, helping ensure a smooth path from design to installation.

Foundation

Where the existing slab is not suitable, or where the jib crane is to be installed in an area without a slab, an independent concrete foundation may be required. This can allow the crane to be installed in a wider range of locations while ensuring adequate support for the application.

Our team can assist by advising on the typical foundation requirements for the selected jib crane.

Steel Structure

Where the jib crane is to be mounted onto a steel structure, the base plate can be tailored to suit site requirements. This provides greater flexibility where floor mounting is not preferred or practical, subject to the supporting steel structure being suitable for the loads imposed by the crane.

ACCESSORIES

Adjustable Slew Stop

Our adjustable slew stop can be fitted to Levitate jib cranes to limit arm rotation and suit site-specific operating requirements.

It is easy to install and can be set in 25° increments, helping improve control, protect surrounding equipment, and restrict crane movement to the required working area.

Radio Remote

An optional radio remote control is available for our jib cranes, allowing the operator to control crane movements from a convenient position. It is a practical upgrade that improves ease of use, operator control, and site flexibility.

End Stop

Levitate's universal beam end stop is designed to be fitted to any jib arm to restrict trolley traverse where required. It provides a practical way to control trolley movement, protect the end of the beam, and suit site-specific operating requirements.
